Region — SG profile
The profile that selects nothing, on purpose.
MAS FEAT asks a firm to define and justify its own fairness objective. There are no clauses to enumerate, so this profile selects none — and the readiness screen reports that as the regime's position rather than as a gap.
Why an empty selection is the honest answer
A regime with no enumerable clauses cannot be scored against clauses. A product that produced a percentage anyway would be inventing a denominator — and a 0% would read as a failing grade in an exam nobody sat. So the screen states the position instead.
This is also the clearest demonstration that the scoring is scoped rather than global. The same deployment, under the EU profile, is scored against two instruments. Under this one, against none — because that is what the regime selects.
- MAS FEAT
- Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency, outcome-based. The fairness objective is yours to state and justify; the platform screens over attributes a subject declared and suppresses a cohort too small to measure rather than reporting a rate it cannot support.
- The NRIC is unusually sensitive
- PDPC guidance is that an organisation may not collect or retain one except where the law requires it — so finding one in a payload is a finding in itself, not merely a data point.
- PDPA, and often GDPR at the same time
- A Singapore entity serving European customers is under both. That is the ordinary case rather than the edge case, and it is what the per-decision resolution exists for.
What resolving a profile actually changes
A market profile is not a locale setting. Changing it changes what the platform is permitted to do, what it looks for, what it scores you against and how long it keeps a record — and moving a workspace between profiles is itself a governed act with a name against it.
And a workload can be under more than one at once. The profile resolves per decision — narrowest wins — and is sealed into the record, so a pack states which laws this deployment believed applied at the moment the decision was made. How that works →
